PANEER TIKKA

Paneer Tikka – a vibrant and kid-friendly dish that's not only a breeze to prepare but also a healthy delight. Bring on the colors and flavors! 




Ingredients :


Paneer : 250g, cubed / sliced
Ginger : 1/2 inch piece
Garlic : flakes
Green Chilly : 1
Coriander Leaves : bunches
Kashmiri Red Chilly powder : 1/2tsp 
Kasoori Methi Powder : 1/2tsp
Cumin  Powder : 1/4tsp
Garam Masala : 1/2tsp
Cream : 1tsp
Lemon Juice : 1tsp
Mustard Oil : 1tbsp
Curd : 1tbsp
Roasted Besan powder : 2tsp(optional)
Salt
Vegetable oil to shallow fry the paneer tikkas : 4tbsp




Method :


Using a mixer, crush together green chilly, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves.Now add this to a wide plate/vessel along with all ingredients except vegetable oil and paneer. Mix into a thick paste and keep aside.Add cubed paneer into this mixture and marinate in refrigerator for 2hours(maximum 6hours).

Frying Method for Paneer Tikka : Heat oil in a kadai and fry the paneer cubes for 3-4minutes. (Add oil on the pan according to the thickness of paneer cubes.)

Grill Method for Paneer TikkaSoak wooden skewers in water till you grill, this is done to avoid burning of the skewers. Thread the marinated paneer cubes alternating with capsicum, tomato and onion onto the skewers. Take a baking tray lined with aluminum foil and grease with mustard oil / butter. Arrange the skewers on top of it.  Grill for 10 minutes or until done.

Baking Method for Paneer tikka : Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Take a greased vessel and arrange the marinated paneer cubes on it. Cover the vessel with aluminum foil and bake for 15minutes.
